The Beryl Companies Welcomes Three New Members to its Executive Advisory Council

(Dallas, TX) - The Beryl Companies, the industry's leading healthcare exclusive call center, added three new members to its Executive Advisory Council: Terry Allison Rappuhn, Diane Appleyard, and Bridget Duffy, M.D. The highly regarded Executive Advisory Council is comprised of leaders from many of the nation's best-known and widely respected hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare organizations. The Executive Advisory Council provides strategic guidance and insight into the ever-changing healthcare industry. "We highly regard our Executive Advisory Council and utilize their expertise time and time again as we work to anticipate the needs of our clients," asserted Lance Shipp, Chief Operating Officer.

With over 30 years experience, Terry Allison Rappuhn has a passion for healthcare. She is an independent consultant, speaker and author, with an emphasis on the revenue cycle and its impact on the consumer. Terry is a member of the Board of Directors of AGA Medical and a member of the Advisory Council of Precyse Solutions, Inc. She formerly served as chief financial officer of Quorum Health Group, Inc., which owned or operated for others over 250 hospitals and health systems. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of Genesis HealthCare Corporation and the HFMA National Board of Directors.

Diane Appleyard is president and CEO of Healthcare Institute, Inc., a think tank of leading healthcare system executives, and president of Core Consulting, a small healthcare company that helps organizations with strategic planning, provider relationship development, and education. A strong believer in community service, she has served on numerous boards and councils. Furthermore, Diane has won many awards, including Modern Healthcare's 100 Most Powerful list in 2002 (#20) and 2003 (#28).

As Chief Experience Officer at Cleveland Clinic, Bridget Duffy, M.D., is charged with advancing the top strategic imperative to create an unparalleled patient experience across the enterprise that addresses the clinical, emotional and physical needs of patients and families. This initiative also seeks to create a culture that empowers employees to deliver on that promise and restores empathy as a core value. Prior to this role, she practiced medicine at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis as a hospitalist. In addition, she served as Medical Director of Medtronic Inc. Dr. Duffy obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota and is a member of the Cleveland Clinic Earl and Doris Bakken Heart Brain Institute (BHBI) steering committee--an advancing new field of medicine that studies the connections between the heart and brain and identifies new treatments for these conditions.

"We are excited to now have fourteen members on our Executive Advisory Council and we look forward to collaborating for the future," said Paul Spiegelman, Beryl's Chief Executive Officer. "With this wide variety of healthcare expertise, Beryl will reach new heights of customer service excellence and service standards for healthcare call centers."
