Beryl Appoints New Clinical Director

Cynthia Hanna, RN to drive product enhancements and clinical strategies to support client patient experience initiatives

DALLAS, TX (January 26, 2011) - Beryl, a technology-focused patient experience services company dedicated to improving relationships between healthcare providers and consumers, announced today that it has named Cynthia Hanna as clinical director for its Patient Experience Group. In this role, Hanna will provide clinical direction on all business aspects of Beryl’s Clinical Services, including Nurse Triage and Post-Discharge Services. She will serve as a key driver of the product vision, enhancement planning, and delivery of new clinical services as Beryl continues to develop its patient experience offerings.

Prior to joining Beryl, Hanna served as clinical product educator at NeuroMetrix, a science-based medical device company, providing clinical product support to a multi-territory sales team. She also served as clinical product specialist at Wolters Kluwer Health, a global publisher of medical, nursing and allied health information resources, where she established business strategy and development for key accounts and implemented programs to improve quality and patient outcomes. She also served as cardiology business manager for GE Healthcare. Hanna attended the University of Arkansas, and earned her registered nurse certification at the Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Little Rock, Ark.

As clinical director, Hanna will draw upon her expertise and nursing experience to provide clinical support for existing clients of Beryl’s clinical services. She will also provide sales support in developing new relationships with hospital systems seeking to reduce readmissions, improve operational efficiencies, and increase patient satisfaction. Additionally, Hanna will provide clinical insights to Beryl’s product management team to continue enhancing Beryl’s Post-Discharge Services and Nurse Triage.

“Cynthia has a unique combination of both clinical product knowledge and direct patient care that will be extremely valuable to our clients,” said Steve Whitehurst, senior vice president of the Patient Experience Group for Beryl. “Her extensive experience working with hospital clinicians and senior administration will allow her to offer insights and best practices to our clients as they work through clinical strategies that support the patient experience. Cynthia also has a keen understanding of the challenges that healthcare reform brings and the increased importance to creating excellent patient experiences. In today’s environment, hospital systems need solutions that will not improve patient satisfaction, but deliver a significant ROI. Cynthia’s expertise will help us further develop our clinical services to help better serve our current clients and forge new partner relationships.”
