International Summit Explores How Small Businesses Are Changing the Definition of Success

Two-Day Event Brings Together Business Leaders from
Around the
World for Collaborative Workshop and Discussion

KONSTANZ, Germany (March 30, 2011) -- When it comes to changing how small businesses define success, the Small Giants Community is continuing to spread its message across geographic borders with its first Small Giants International Summit, June 10 to June 11 in Konstanz, Germany.

The Small Giants International Summit is a two-day culture and business event created to provide a practice-based shared learning experience for leaders of small and midsize private companies from around the globe. These leaders are focused on creating businesses driven by the characteristics observed in the companies featured in the book Small Giants by Bo Burlingham including: impact on their communities, employee fulfillment, sustainable and protectable profit margins, clear vision of their company's identity and a commitment to the integrity of their products, supply chain and processes.

Summit attendees will participate in discussions, mentoring sessions, breakouts and workshops focused on the principles, values and practices inherent to building a fulfilling business environment. Sessions will be led by an all-star list of small business leaders and authors including:

  • Norm Brodsky of Citistorage
  • Ping Fu of GeoMagic
  • Paul Spiegelman of The Beryl Companies
  • Jack Stack of SRC Holdings
  • Doug Tatum of Tatum LLC
  • Raul Candeloro of Editora Quantum
  • Small Giants author Bo Burlingham
  • Prof. Dr. Jorg Knoblauch of Tempus
  • Steven Wilkinson of Buchanan Capital Holding AG

"At the Small Giants International Summit, leaders will have the chance to experience the evolving business culture and really immerse themselves in the practices and beliefs of Small Giants," said Paul Spiegelman, CEO and founder of The Beryl Companies and the Small Giants Community. "We believe participants in the Summit will walk away with business changing insights and a cultural experience of a lifetime."

Set in picturesque Konstanz, Germany at the Steigenberger Inselhotel, the Summit also features access to a wide variety of cultural events designed to foster business and personal relationships including an evening cruise on Lake Constance, concert by Nick Ede (formerly of Cutting Crew) and family-oriented offerings through local Konstanz establishments.
