CHRISTUS Health Selects Beryl to Enhance the Patient Experience

Beryl to provide end-to-end solution for achieving patient loyalty and increasing revenue

BEDFORD, TX  – CHRISTUS Health, a non-profit Catholic health system providing faith-based care in Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, Iowa, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas and in Mexico, has selected Beryl to provide marketing and clinical communications solutions that enhance the patient experience.  Beryl was selected for its innovative technology and services platform that uniquely connects patients to healthcare and providers to knowledge.

With more than 50 hospitals and long-term care facilities, CHRISTUS Health will rely on Beryl services and solutions to support their efforts in increasing patient loyalty and engagement, revenue enhancement and achieving measurable marketing goals.  These objectives will be accomplished through physician and service referrals, scheduling and post-discharge services, class and event registration and strategic marketing.
“We are focusing on creating a positive, mission-aligned patient experience that starts with the first call into our organization to find a provider or sign up for a class,” said Teri Cardenas, senior director, Strategic Marketing and Communications, CHRISTUS Health.  “Our partnership with Beryl is designed to build long-term relationships with our patients, offering 24/7 communications support and engagement.  Both of our organizations are focused on delivering superior customer service that exceeds our customers’ expectations.”

Beryl’s specially-trained patient advocates include registered nurses who follow up with patients immediately after discharge to enhance their care and compliance, allowing the health system’s nurses to focus on patients at the bedside.  During follow-up calls, Beryl delivers on the promise of the medical home and closes the loop with patients by linking them to primary care and specialty physicians within the same network to ensure compliance with their care plan.

“Ultimately, we’re enhancing quality of care,” said Steve Whitehurst, chief customer officer at Beryl. “Patients are going to have an exceptional experience with every interaction, including before and after a procedure, a visit to the Emergency Department or a hospitalization.”
