BerylHealth is committed to helping our clients improve the patient experience across the continuum of care. This includes enhancing existing services and developing new ones to meet client and consumer needs.

In case you missed the previous services update, some highlights included increased browser support on beryl.net, improved reporting navigation, enhanced search capabilities for online physician referral and class registration, and improved fulfillment processes and capabilities. Below is information on the most recent and upcoming enhancements.

Now Available:

Class/Event Registration Services

Helping hospitals drive customers to additional hospital programs that increase revenue while building customer relationships.

Enhancement: New Electronic Data Management Form

To simplify the process of providing data for a class or event and to improve accuracy of information entered, Beryl introduced a new electronic data management form. This form replaces the previous process used to add a new class or event.

To access the electronic form, log in to beryl.net and go to Data Management Events in the Tools menu.

Physician Referral Services

Helping hospitals get patients in the door, build loyalty with physicians and increase connections to consumers through a 24-hour, hospital branded referral service.

Enhancement

Physician Data Load Process Expanded Physicians can now have unlimited specialties and offices associated with their profile. The previous limitations of five specialties and three offices per physician have been removed.

Post-Discharge Services

BerylHealth connects with your patients 24 to 72 hours after they have been discharged from the hospital to clarify discharge instructions, remind them to fill prescriptions and schedule follow-up care.

Enhancement: Improved Reporting Capabilities

Two new reports are now available in the Post-Discharge Services reporting suite. These new offerings eliminate the need for manual calculations of trends and the need to run multiple reports to obtain information pertaining to an individual patient.

  • Patient Detail - Ability to view all call details associated with a patient in one report.
  • Monthly Trend - Provides patient responses to discharge questions for the hospital as a whole or for a specific department. The easy-to-read graphs enable trends and opportunities for improvement to be quickly identified. The new report also includes drill-down to patient comments and the new Patient Detail report. Additionally, the sort order of the data in the Escalation Report has been changed to sort by date, patient last name, escalation type, or escalation subtype to make it easier to find all of the escalations for a patient. The report could previously only be sorted by Escalation Type.

 

Reporting

Enhancement: Executive Dashboard System Roll-up

This enhancement will allow reporting to roll-up from an individual hospital to a system level providing a higher level snapshot of data.

Appointment Setting

BerylHealth's Patient Experience Advocates act as an extension of your hospital's front desk or scheduling department, utilizing the same protocol to quickly and efficiently help consumers schedule appointments.

Enhancement: Expanded Options for Online Appointment Setting

In addition to requesting an appointment with a specific physician, consumers will have the option to request appointments by specialty or service line. This allows the consumer greater flexibility in locating a physician and setting an appointment that meets their needs

Class/Event Registration Services

Helping hospitals drive customers to additional hospital programs that increase revenue while building customer relationships.

Enhancement: Web Services API Expansion

In addition to the current Web Service API (Application Programming Interface) for class registration that allows hospitals to locate and display information about classes, the capability will also be available to build out the enrollment and payment capabilities. By merging BerylHealth's call center and web services data into your custom online interface, hospitals can choose to manage the entire process in-house.

Post-Discharge Services

BerylHealth connects with your patients 24 to 72 hours after they have been discharged from the hospital to clarify discharge instructions, remind them to fill prescriptions and schedule follow-up care.

Enhancements:

Interactive Escalations Tracking

Clients will have the ability to click a link on the escalations report and update the status of the escalation. This will enable clients to track progress/completion of all patient escalations.

Executive Statistics Report Roll-up

Post-discharge call statistics will be rolled up to provide an over-all view for the hospital as a whole. This will eliminate the need to manually add department data to find overall patient record and questionnaire completion rates, and other statistics.

Patient Detail Report Filter

A new Clinical Questions filter will be added to enable the report to display clinical call data only (data that is currently available in the Clinical Patient Detail report). This will enable users to roll clinical call data up to the hospital as a whole, while maintaining the ability to obtain only the clinical information for the patient's medical record. The new filter will also eliminate the need for two separate reports (e.g., Patient Detail and Clinical Patient Detail).

 

* BerylHealth determines timing and delivery of all enhancements based on, but not limited to, the complexity of the enhancement and its relevancy to current and future client needs. We have a high confidence that the enhancements scheduled for this quarter will be delivered on time. However, dates may be adjusted due to changes in scope or priority.

BerylHealth listens to your feedback and continues to make improvements to better serve your needs. In addition to the items listed above, other enhancements we are currently working on include:

  • Fulfillment delivery options expansion to include text messages.
  • Fulfillment services expansion to include class reminders via print, phone, e-mail and text messages. 
  • Advanced analytic reporting including enhanced trending, dashboards, system-level roll-ups, and post-discharge call text analysis.
